Biography

They were just two snotty teenagers when they met for the first time. Rémi was already blowing in everything he could and Maarten had just discovered folk guitar. The one out of the forest of Walloon, the other from the seacoast. How could they look further for eacher other to become the most Belgian folk duo?

The teenagers have grown up and have become reputaded musicians. Through different projects (Göze, Sourdine or the mini folkorchestra Griff) they developped a impressive musical background.

Under their own names, Maarten Decombel and Rémi Decker play a happy no-nonsense folk, a music situated and the Belgian crossroads of European culture. Impressive how their own compositions sounds so natural! And how they can play traditionals like they make them up on the spot!

No trick, no luxuries, but a sincere music with an uncommon erngy and the spontaneity from the very beginning!
